THE NASAL FONTANELLES (RIGHT)

Description : There are usually defects in the bony lateral wall of the nose located between the uncinate process and the inferior turbinate that are covered with a dense connective tissue that is a continuation of the periosteum. These defects in the bony skeleton open up into the maxillary sinus. These defects are called the anterior and the posterior nasal fontanelles.
