Description : Since one of the main function of the nose is the removal of particulate matter, it is not surprising that many individuals develop allergies to a variety of inspired substances. The allergic response within the nose results in a triad of symptoms: paroxysmal sneezing, nasal obstruction, and a watery rhinorrhea. The swollen bluish inferior turbinate is pathognomonic for allergic rhinitis .
