SYNECHIA (INTRANASAL ADHESIONS) (RIGHT)

Description : Synechia are red or pale pink fibrous adhesions that usually run across the nasal cavity between the nasal septum and the inferior turbinate. Synechia develop following an injury that creates opposing raw surfaces on the lateral nasal wall and nasal septum. While most synechia are small and asymptomatic, on some occasions, synechia may be large enough to interfere with nasal respiration.
